Dear Upstate NY LRIG Members,
On behalf of myself and the 400+ employees at Caliper Life Sciences I would like to invite you to attend our Caliper Owner’s Group (COG) meeting and open house. Last year’s events were a huge success and we had fantastic presentations from over 70 customers. This year we are expecting presentations from Pfizer, Merck, Novartis, Roche, BMS, Abbott, Amgen, Biogen, Wyeth, Dow, Broad, JGI, FDA, NCI and many others. We also expect several important life sciences collaborators to potentially present in the genomics application segment such as Illumina, Ion Torrent, Pac Bio, Fluidigm, and Life.
We have an exciting program planned for COG 2010 and look forward to your participation. This year’s meeting is divided into four parallel application tracks (Biologics/Vaccines, Optical Imaging, Genomics, and Small Molecules) and will include presentations and insights by customers leveraging Caliper’s suite of technologies in relevant application areas.
Biologics/Vaccines
Presentations focused on the use of Caliper’s LabChip GX and automation systems in the production and QC of biologics and vaccines. Presentations will include perspectives from both development and production, and highlight the application of the GX’s protein and glycan assays.Optical Imaging
This track is focused on cutting edge methods and applications of Caliper’s optical imaging IVIS technology. It will include presentations covering stem cell, CNS, oncology, infectious disease research and more.Genomics
Track will include presentations on the application of the LabChip GX in genomic workflows, with emphasis on next generation sequencing, genotyping, and molecular diagnostics. The genomics track will also include presentations on Caliper’s recently launched LabChip XT, an advanced solution for nucleic acid fractionation and collection.Small Molecule Drug Discovery
Presentations will focus on the application of Caliper’s microfluidics platform for compound screening, profiling and mechanism of action studies as well as automated robotic systems for ADME Tox and other discovery applications. We have expanded this year’s program and will be taking our COG meetings on the road globally for 2010. We have planned meetings in San Francisco and San Diego as well as Hopkinton, and will announce dates for the international meetings, as they are confirmed. Please click on the link below for dates and to register.
Thank you for again, and I look forward to seeing you at COG 2010.
Best regards,
KevinKevin Hrusovsky
